Against the backdrop of riots in 60s Brighton, Quadrophenia perfectly captures the teenage need to belong, and identify, with your peers. In 1964 London, Jimmy Cooper (Phil Daniels) divides his time between hanging out with Mod friends and slaving in the post-room of an advertising firm. He doesn't work because he wants to or through a desire to further a career. No, all Jimmy wants is to have enough cash in his pocket to keep his scooter running and bespoke suits trim, leaving a little for "blues". There's nothing that Jimmy likes more than motoring with his pals Dave (Mark Wingett), Chalky (Philip Davis) and Spider (Gary Shail). What better way could there be to exasperate his parents (Michael Elphick and Kate Williams) and chat up birds like Steph (Leslie Ash) and Monkey (Toyah Wilcox)

This riveting, exciting, melloneous film is about the coming and going of '2-tone ska' in Britain. After the First wave of ska (bob marley, skatalites) ska attacked Europe with the second wave. With live performances from like the Specials, the Selecter, Bad Manners, Madness, the Beat, and the Bodysnatchers, this documentary is amazing. If you are new to ska and want to know where it all came from, or if you are a veteran and you just want to re-live these exciting moments, check out this film. I'm sure you can find it, somewhere.

Set during the summer holidays of 1983, we chart his rights of passage from shaggy haired ruffian grieveing the loss of his father, into a shaven headed thug who's anger and pain are embraced by the local skinhead fraternity and ultimately the National Front.. With a shell for a mother and no father to guide him, Shaun seems set for certain destruction.
Great song, great video, great band, great scooters! What more could one want?

Shooting has now finished on Formosa Films 80's period feature, "Clubbed" and post production is now underway.

THE gritty rites-of-passage tale began shooting in March at east London's Three Mills Studio and on location in the West Midlands, with a scheduled release date of early 2008.

The script was written by BAFTA-winning writer Geoff Thompson, adapted from his best-selling autobiography Watch My Back.

It follows factory worker Danny, who becomes involved in the violent "rude-boy" subculture of 1980's Coventry when he meets a group of doormen who work clubs playing Northern Soul and ska music.

Thompson, who is also a martial-arts instructor, was on-set throughout shooting as both creative consultant and fight co-ordinator.

Clubbed is directed by Neil Thompson and produced by Martin Carr. Executive producer Paul Abbott (Shameless) will also act as script consultant with Jim Cartwright (Little Voice).

Reflecting the spirit of the era is the soundtrack and a score by M-People's Paul Heard.

The cast includes Colin Salmon (Tomorrow Never Dies), Shaun Parkes (Notes On A Scandal), Maxine Peake (Shameless), Mel Raido (Midsomer Murders), Scot Williams (Cape Wrath), Ronnie Fox (Nil By Mouth) and Neil Morrissey (Men Behaving Badly), with Nikki Sanderson (Coronation Street) making her feature film debut.
