Day Ride To Bude
Never trust a weatherman. Promises that temperatures in Devon this bank holiday weekend would be higher than the most of the Med tempted 7 hardy souls from their Easter Sunday slumbers to meet up at 9am for a trip to Bude. Dave led the way through Bovey up to the A30, but by the first stop just most of us were uncomfortably numb, except Jo who was on the back of Shaun's bike. We made good time on quiet roads and arrived at The Carriers Inn before the other clubs which meant we got parking spaces that didn't arouse the attention of the local copper and a table so we could thaw out! A few hours in the midday sunshine, lunch and a chat to The Confederates, Templars and Troglodytes and we were warm enough to think about heading back to the bay and all those eggs we'd avoided. (Will shoud arrive back soon after taking a detour up the A30!). Good day, good weather, roll on Newquay.
